As many of you know, I'm passionate about our union and the incredible work we do every day to advocate for ourselves and our patients. That's why I'm thrilled to announce my candidacy for Union Steward!
We can achieve anything when we work together, and I'm ready to roll up my sleeves and get to work. I'll be your champion in negotiations, grievance procedures, and any other challenges we face as healthcare workers. I'll foster solidarity and ensure our union remains a powerful force for good. I'll be your link to union leadership, ensuring your concerns are heard and addressed fairly.
The past ten years working in Medical Imaging at KP have prepared me to serve as a steward, and I believe I have the potential to make a significant impact.
My first defined union role began in 2021 as co-lead of the Lone Tree Nuclear Medicine and PET Department, where I've learned the importance of leadership by listening, collaborating, and finding solutions together.
Soon after, I extended my commitment beyond my department as a Member2Member for The Education Fund in January 2022. I know well the importance of education and its impact on workplace growth. I've empowered colleagues with knowledge about their educational union benefits, fostering a more informed and engaged union community.
My role as a Workforce Planning and Development Committee representative since 2022 has allowed me to advocate for training opportunities and career advancement programs, ensuring our union's voice is heard in shaping the future workforce.
Over the past year, my experience as the Lone Tree Building Safety Committee co-lead has instilled in me a deep understanding of the importance of vigilance and proactive action in ensuring a healthy and secure work environment.
The recent strike was a defining moment for me. As part of the Communication Action Team and Strike Captain, I helped lead members through challenging times, navigating complex logistical, emotional, and strategic hurdles. Witnessing our union's unwavering solidarity and resilience solidified my commitment to fighting for every member.
My passion for our union and commitment to our shared well-being run deep. I've fought alongside you and am ready to fight for you even harder as your steward. Let's continue to raise our voices together, protecting our hard-won gains and securing a brighter future for ourselves, our families, and the patients we serve.

I really thought this might just be a quiet thing between me and a few coworkers but looking at how this has taken off is honestly overwhelming in the best way possible. It just shows how many of us are actually itching for a real shift in how things run here at the clinic because clearly I am not the only one feeling this way.
