On February the 14th at 5:30pm, at 301 E Clinton St., Frankfort Indiana there will be a meeting with the board of zoning appeals because owner John Faucett wants to turn his 2 story residential house into a pizza king with signage and parking lot...so bring your valentine and show your love for the city, if ya can’t make it show your thought by signing petition...
The increase in public interest has prompted local news outlets to inquire about our stance on the zoning board meeting. I have prepared a formal summary of our concerns to provide to the zoning board members before the hearing begins.

I am against the request to change an ordinance which allows a business to locate in a residential area. Businesses in residential areas lowers the value of proper surrounding the business. In this particular case, the business will be located in a difficult traffic area which is often conjested due to a 2-way stop sign (not a lighted stop sign) at the intersection to State Rd 28.

GREAT IDEA bad location selection. residential areas are just that... places where people should be housed and not have a worry as to an uptick in traffic of all walks of life that could eventually threaten the safety and wellbeing of that neighborhood.

Would love to have a Pizza King in our community but I feel this is a wrong location for it. It will effect alot of families in the area.

After examining said property on Google earth and being very familiar with the area (lifelong Frankfort resident that grew up on E. Clinton St. and attended Riley School) I see that there is room for a fairly large off street parking lot in the rear along Williams Rd. This is very advantageous for the argument to rezone as business.
In case you are new to Frankfort, Frankfort is a 'Pizza Town' and we love our assorted pizza places.
Quite frankly instead of the home of the 'Hot Dogs' it should be called the 'Pizza Mecca.'
Anyway, why stand in the way of progress?
Unless you happen to be a neighbor, I fail to see what legitimate issues anyone could have with said proposal.
