Many homeschool families who are members would like to take advantage of the services the YMCA has but there is no childcare open for older children during the day. The Y does open the youth area for after school hours, at 3:30. As homeschool parents, we would love to have a time available so we could take classes or exercise with other parents. I think the Y is missing out on a great opportunity to show support for homeschool families by offering them one or two days a week where the youth room is open early.
