We the people of Loxahatchee, Florida and the Acreage want to exercise our right as citizens of the great State of Florida to be able to operate ATV's and/or golf carts on our dirt roads.  All drivers and operators must be licensed drivers and must obey the same rules established by the Department of Highway Safety & Motor Vehicles as if you were driving your car and/or motorcycle.

As a long time resident of Loxahatchee and the Acreage and an ATV owner I would like to see our rights to operate our ATV's / Golf Carts on dirt roads with a posted speed of no more than 35 miles per hour.  Common sense would dictate that motor vehicles would have the right-of-way.  The individuals who are operating the ATV / Golf Cart should adhere to the rules of the road as if they were driving their registered motor vehicle.  Unlicensed individuals will not be allowed to operate ATV's / Golf Carts.

The community of Loxahatchee and the Acreage would like the opportunity to have the freedom that this area once had years ago.  We acquired property in Loxahachee and the Acreage because we enjoyed the right to be able to ride.

I have spent the last few days talking with neighbors who feel just as frustrated as I do about losing the freedom we moved here for. My focus remains on finding the right local representatives to finally listen to what our community needs.

Seeing this kind of movement in our neighborhood proves that I am not the only one grieving the loss of our local freedom. It feels incredible to know so many of you value the same simple rights that brought us to these dirt roads in the first place.

Living out here is supposed to mean having some freedom. Sick of getting hassled for just trying to get down the road on my cart.

Enough with these rules. If im a licensed driver I should be able to take my ATV to the store if I want.

its ridiculous that we cant ride on our own dirt roads. we all drive safe anyway so just let us get around like we used to!!!
