I am totaly for a dress code, to a certain extent. I think it is absurd how we are not permitted to wear a headband to school. And also almost every school sports uniform violates the dress code so why doesn't that matter?

The dress code only applies to girls, if the dress code applied to both genders the student body would worry so much about it.We should be able to wear why we feel comfortable in, we go to school to get an education not to worry about the length of our shorts.

Instead of teaching girls to cover themselves up, teach boys to mind their own buisness

Here's the thing- when girls wear low cut shirts, they are showing off their boobs, which is sexualizing themselves. Same with short shorts. Is it really necessary to show everyone your butt cheeks? And students rights can be limited if it interferes with learning, as ruled by the Supreme Court many times. (Lack of) clothing is distracting to both genders, so it can take away from the whole purpose of school. This is why schools have control over clothing you cannot wear. The TGMS dress code really isn't too bad, and it's reasonable too. You'll find nearly the same dress code at many other middle schools. Consider yourself lucky not to have uniforms.

they do this to females ONLY becuase they see somethings sexual in what they're wearing and I say, WHY? I will sign this petition
