I really never thought this would gain any traction at all but checking my phone and seeing all this activity is completely surreal. It is just funny how a simple idea about a few lines in a yearbook became this entire thing that everyone is talking about in the halls.

WCHS should do this too! You shouldn't take it away from people who deserve it just because some people waste the opportunity. Just screen the quotes; it's not that hard.
ive been planning my quote since freshman year, I really want to have that to look back on.
Since we're not getting a formal homecoming, we should at least stick with a few traditions. Plus this is the 10th year of our school being opened. It's kind of odd if we don't do things the same way we've been doing the past decade.
Dont take away my homecoming, pep rallies then take away my senior quote!! whats next? prom? graduation?
As a student who graduated as class of 2015 despite being on track to graduate in 2016, I didn't get a senior quote and it negatively affected my graduation. This year's seniors deserve it, especially since this change was made in their senior year and not explicitly stated beforehand.

I don't see the reasoning behind taking this action away from the students. Freedom of speech should prevail. They are often times making their own missions statements when they are allowed to quote their senior year. Allow them this opportunity.
