Greetings, We are asking that the decision for Wadesboro Primary School students to wear uniforms on picture day be reconsidered and changed. It is very unfair and unethical that this is the only school within the county that has forced our children to wear uniforms on their Fall Picture Day. This has an effect that not only makes the children feel uncomfortable but also tends to make the children feel punished for some wrongful act or doing that has not taken place. Our children should be allowed the same treatment and privileges as any other elementary school and/or school within our area. Yes, we understand that there are more students that attend Wadesboro Primary School than any other elementary school within the county but that does not account for how they should be mistreated. The High School has a combination of students from all different areas of the county and they also have the freedom and right to choose what they wear on picture day. A child's personality can be displayed throughout their clothing and as long as it follows school guidelines that is the moment that parents want captured within a photo not the dull, expressionless faces you see when they are instructed to wear uniforms. My bottom-line is please reconsider your decision and ask yourself, "would you really be doing any harm in letting our children do something that every other school within the county is already doing for their children?" Thank you
