Yes, it is a rampant problem, especially in proprietorships and single-person controlled organisations. The head of the organisation easily assembles a coterie of sycophants who proceed to harass anybody who appears non-confident, or questions mediocrity within the organisation or achieves positive results which the old-timers in the organisation are not comfortable with. Many employees join the management in harassing and insulting a good employee in order to stay in the management's good books. Surprisingly, all harassment cases in India are deemed to be sexual, which definitely isn't the case. Laws against workplace bullying and emotional scarring of the victim are non-existent.

Pls legalise something to stop office bullying . almost every place Ive worked in I go thru this. I look pretty and presentable plus am really good at what I do. Values in place too. My bosses get insecure and gang up with my peers to bully me. Pls help

Workplace bullying should be considered as an serious offence and action should be taken to thwart it. Organizations should have policies such as the ones for harassment
