Be it known that we the undersigned hereby petition the Obama Administration to draft legislation for the criminalization of Bullying.
A Bill that:
Will criminalize the act of bullying in our schools,in our work places and in all public access areas Nation Wide,a Federal Bill.
We further request that in the event bullying makes/drives/forces an individual to take their own life/commit suicide/end their life prematurely that the responsible party be charged in the same manner as a murder would be charged and convicted.
We seek in this Bill also, that School Administrators/Teachers/School Board Members/Professors/Deans also be held accountable if He/She/They fail to rectify the bullying situation(s)
We seek in this Bill also, that Supervisors, Shift Leads, Owners, Corporations, also be held accountable if He/She/They
fail to rectify the bullying situation(s)
Make Anti-Bullying Education a Priority in Nationwide Curricula.
We request that this law be modeled after the New Jersey Anti Bullying Law or Anti-Bullying Bill of Rights and that the frame work of implementation that New Jersey has used be followed with this Bill.
No new government bureaucracy should created with this Bill.
We believe this Bill will come under the covering of the 14th Amendment section 2.
We also request that any petition having signatures, waving duplicates, that includes the name(s) Jamey's Law, Make a Law for Jamey, Jamey Rodemeyer, Or any other Anti Bullying petition formed for Jamey Rodemeyer be included and counted in this petition.
The stories shared in the comments section reveal the widespread nature of this issue across the country. I am currently preparing a formal letter to present our objectives to federal legislators based on the framework we have established.

The momentum surrounding Jamey's Law has reached a level that confirms the necessity of this federal legislation. Witnessing such collective resolve encourages me to continue pressing for these critical protections.

Too many kids are losing their lives because schools turn a blind eye. This needs to happen right now.

If a person is driven to suicide by someone else they should be charged just like a murderer. make it federal law.
