There is a proposal to enforce a "No Waiting At Any Time" restriction at the locations below:

a) Baker Street - east side from the common boundary of the Foxhound Riding school and Martingales, to the southern property boundary of No.6 Woolings Row

b) Woolings Close, both sides, from its junction with Baker Street, to the western property boundary of No.5 Woolings Row

As the residents of Woolings Row / Baker, our first and foremost concern is the ‘knock on issue’ of increased vehicle speeds, which will be much more apparent and serious in nature. The immediate neighbourhood affected by these proposals is home to many children who we (us as parents) want to encourage to walk and cycle. However, in order for them and us to gain the confidence to do so it must be done in a safe environment where traffic behaviour is predictable and consistent with the surrounding environment

The traffic acts as natural/informal traffic calming at the entrance to the village speed limit, not only helping reduce speed on this stretch of straight road, but giving a clear indication to drivers that they are now entering a more urban/village environment, where speed limit compliance is paramount!

We ask you to sign the petition below by Wednesday 22nd July no later than midday in order for us to present this to the council in person on Wednesday evening.
