The town council has officially approved the acquisition of a new ladder truck for our fire department. This result proves that direct community engagement brings about necessary change for public safety. We will continue to monitor the procurement process to ensure the equipment is delivered as promised.

WOODSTOCK NEEDS a ladder truck that has a high aerial ladder that can be used to reach upper floors of buildings; rescue equipment for forcible entry, extrication.. NOT ONLY CAN BUILDINGS BE BETTER SAVED, BUT LIVES CAN BE SAVED!!!

The feedback regarding our current firefighting capabilities has been consistent and sobering. I am currently compiling the data regarding vertical reach requirements to present to the town office. Your continued interest reinforces the urgency of this necessary infrastructure upgrade.

Definitely need one. The fire this week just shows the need. We have a lot of of large older homes in town with tenants as well as nursing homes that cant be reached with the ladders we have now such as the WI on Chapel and the nursing home on Prince Albert along with many others.
Perhaps if the right equipment had been available, the damage may not have been so excessive at the Rose Building.
we really need this, to help the guys who risk everything for us do their job with the equipment they deserve
I lived in Woodstock for 16 years and saw a lot of fires happen over the years that needed a ladder truck at those times and none were available. After the recent loss of another building a few days ago, it's time to get one for the future. Fires can happen and will happen with no notice at all. As Max said, not only can this possibly save buildings but most importantly people's lives also.
Woodstock is a growing community with a large historical building base. There should be a bigger focus on protecting the town's heritage as well as our citizens interests.
Yes I feel we need a ladder truck as we have many large homes apartments and of course businesses. If we have to create a space for it we have lots of areas to create the space.
In light of the devastating fire this week the town is in dire need of one

Thanks to Houlton's fire department, for their ladder, during the horrible fire this past week. Woodstock now needs their own!
