The basis for this petition is to bring a water truck back to the Peoria Illinois Fire Station 11 at 1025 W. Florence Avenue Peoria IL 61604. In light of the recent fire at Thomas Jefferson Primary school it is becoming clearer that without a water truck at this station there is minimal help that the station #11 firefighters can give until a water truck can arrive on scene. This petition in no way is meant to reflect negatively upon the hard working firefighters at station 11. Rather to let the City of Peoria know the error of their ways in removing the water truck previously located at Fire Station #11. There are numerous schools, churches, businesses, and private residents that are all serviced by this fire station, and would greatly benefit from a water truck being returned to Fire Station #11.
