This petition is for the advancement of professional women's football.  Women's professional football has been established for over a decade and has received none of the support, both in the media and in endorsements, that their male counterparts have received.  The brave women who love and play one America's favorite sports nationwide suffer the same physical dangers as the men who play but must also maintain full-time jobs and pay nearly $1000 in fees to offset the cost the owners lose every year to run the teams.  They play to scant crowds in mediocre fields because of lack of funding and communal support.  All of this can be remedied by companies endorsing this sport for women and by airing the games on television.

All we ask is for the same opportunities that men take for granted.  If you are a woman or a supporter of women who believes that a woman's sport is entitled to the same opportunities as a man's sport, please sign this petition.  If you want to enable girls and women who love the sport of football and have a desire to play to have an outlet for that love and desire, please sign this petition.  If you want to see REAL football played by real, athletic women on television, please sign this petition.

WE, the undersigned, as a woman or someone who knows/loves a woman, demand equal rights for WOMEN'S PROFESSIONAL FOOTBALL.  WE believe that a woman's sport is entitled to the same opportunities as a man's sport.  WE would like to see WOMEN'S PROFESSIONAL FOOTBALL on television!  WE will not go away.  WE will be silent NO LONGER.  Women deserve and demand equality in this sport.
