Atlanta needs your help! Atlanta is rallying to bring a WNBA team to our great city. This would make Atlanta the only city in the Southeast with the elite distinction of having a WNBA franchise. There are five powerful reasons Atlanta is a perfect home for a WNBA team: 1. As one of the U.S.\'s top 10 largest cities, with more than five million people, Atlanta\'s population can support a team. 2. The WNBA has the finest women basketball players in the world and showcases women as high achievers. 3. As \"The Sports Capital of the World,\" Atlanta should have at least one women\'s professional sports team. 4. Atlanta is the home base of sports sponsorship, not just in America but in the world. 5. There is currently no WNBA team in the Southeast. Atlanta\'s team would be a regional team, drawing basketball fans of the great teams in the ACC and SEC conferences, as well as the former Charlotte team.
