We are of the strong belief that an African American Heritage Center should be established at the Allied Kid Building located in an historically Black neighborhood on Wilmington's east side. We urge that the Mayor and Wilmington City Council support the plans of the Board of Directors of the African American Heritage Center, a non-profit, Black led organization, to implement this important goal, instead of the "white" Historical Society of Delaware.
