There are 27000 widows in Mauritius that will lose their widow pension when they reach 60 years old.We want the government to make changes and make provisions for widows pension to be continued to be paid when reaching 60 years old in the forth coming budget 2017.
As it is now, the widow pension is cut at 60 and replaced by retirement pension. WE want both after 60.

The government thought they could quietly strip these women of their dignity, but this surge of support proves they were dead wrong. Our momentum is becoming impossible for them to ignore, and we are going to keep turning up the heat until they change this policy.

My mother worked hard all her life and now they want to take her money away. This is not fair at all.
Government must stop playing with peoples life. Give them both pension it is only right after all these years.

Too many widows struggling already. Do not cut this money.
