This deserves to happen! The U.K. CAST DESERVE A CAST RECORDING NOT JUST BROADWAY!! When you go to a show you want the cast you saw not the Broadway cast.
Saw Wicked for my birthday, absolutely gutted the CD doesn't have Emma. I refuse to buy it until she's on there, it was the only time I've ever cried at a song since Eponine died in Les Mis!
this would be a way to commemorate 10 years, and make the musical available for people who may not have the money to see it, it would widen the audience! Not to mention that is Wicked fans would love it!
I saw this cast a few weeks ago and can safely say they had me mesmerised. Emma as Elphaba was faultless, by far the best Elphaba I've ever heard, and I'm one of the biggest Wicked nerds ever. They need to be shared with everyone who can't make it to the show. Absolutely 'wonderful'
The amount of talent in this cast is astounding; breathtaking. I believe that it should be eternalised by a proper soundtrack album. It would be a pity to let such amazing talent go without recording.
Yes! Most casts have a U.K. recording and right now is the best time to do it. It is impossible for me to see it and I really love the cast and Rachel Tucker is my favorite Elphaba.
