The Toronto theatre scene is a hot bed of outstanding talent, and I think it's high time that the audience was given the opportunity to take home part of the show. At the merchandise booths in the lobbies, the only albums offered are the original Broadway or London cast recordings, but I think that successful productions should be recorded and made available to the public. A cast such as that of We Will Rock You, for example, would have sold a great many albums, as the production ran for over two years and was the source of a great many petitions such as this one. It can't be argued that people who pay to see Mirvish shows multiple times, wouldn't buy an album that features the local cast. So this petition is an attempt to get Mirvish Productions to make recordings of local casts available to us, the audience. In particular, I'm making this petition to argue in favour of a recording of Rock of Ages, currently on stage at the Royal Alex. If you agree with me, please sign below and help me make my case.
