Why Isn't Revolution Bakery at the Santa Fe Farmers' Market?

Whether a person is gluten free by choice or medical necessity, the Santa Fe Farmers Market is DISCRIMINATING against gluten-free patrons by not supporting locally made gluten-free products. Having sampled several gluten-free bakeries throughout the US, I can personally attest that Revolution Bakery is one of the BEST!

Dionne's exceptional food needs to reach a larger market for those of us who are gluten-free.

This is rediculous! There are many vendors selling tomatoes, zucchini and potatoes so why in the world can’t Revolution Bakery sell gluten free baked goods? Just what is going on here? It certainly sounds like some kind of collusion, if not something very illegal is happening with Santa Fe Farmers Market. Surely thus should be looked into.

I am so puzzled, as a long-time customer and supporter of the Santa Fe Farmer's Market, why Dionne Christian of Revolution Bakery is trying to force her way in to the market. There is already a gluten-free vendor at market , who has been with the market for 20 years. In addition, there is a years-long moratorium at the market for any "value added" vendors-- including bakeries, herbal products, crafts, etc. The market attempts to maintain its integrity as a FARMERS MARKET -- which is to say, farmers who grow food -- not a crafts market. The ratio is 80 percent agriculture producers to 20 percent value added. There have been no open "value added" slots for years -- and the waiting list is miles long. Why would Dionne Christian think she deserves to get bumped to the top of that list? The gluten-free phase is simply that-- a phase. Why should the market compromise its rules and integrity for a passing trend, by turning away other amazing crafts people, herbalists and potential bakers (there are nearly a dozen on the waiting list, I bet) in favor of Revolution? In addition, why did Revolution Bakery voluntarily give up its highly valued spot as a vendor at the SFFM Cafe ? I say: Keep Revolution OUT of the Santa Fe Farmer's Market. Nothing about this bakery serves the mission or vision of the Santa Fe Farmer's Market.

Justin, yes, the goat cheese is from local goats, and the dried chile is from locally grown chiles. In addition, their is a waiting list a mile long for "value added" vendors at the farmers market. Revolution Bakery can GET IN LINE. There are even other "paleo/gluten-free" bakeries on the waiting list. Who knows why Dionne Christianson feels she deserves special consideration. The farmer's market in Santa Fe attempts to maintain the integrity of a FARMERS market, which means there is 80 percent farmers and only 20 percent non-farmers (value added vendors such as bakeries, herbal products, crafts, etc). There have really not been any openings for years. And, there is already a gluten-free baker at market, and Revolution Bakery used to sell at the market through its cafe... .why isn't it doing so still?

Dionne Christian's REVOLUTION bread is the only bread I am able to eat! I've been without bread for over two months! Please, please, let REVOLUTION BAKERY into the Santa Fe Market. Thank you so very, very much. Kay Northcutt, celiac sufferer.

Multiple goat cheese and dried pepper wreath vendors but not Revolution Bakery? Sounds like a Santa Fe move, but I don't stand for it or appreciate it. Gluten-free goody representation!

Ask the Market Board if all their vendors also grow the trees to make the paper in which they wrap their goods in.? OR do all the bakers own the cows that produce the dairy used in the baking process? Or grow all the ingredients for every recipe? I love Revolution Bakery!

Would really like to be able to eat some goodies at the farmer's market instead of watching others indulge. Don't be so rigid!!

I think keeping this wonderful resource from the citizens of Santa Fe a real tragedy. For people with Celiac's disease and gluten intolerance, a bakery that can accommodate all their needs is essential. To put in perspective, I have a granddaughter with Celiac's disease. When she first saw this bakery and read that everything was gluten free, she cried. When I asked her what was wrong, she was 5 at the time, she said nothing, everything is right. There isn't anything here I can't eat.

Revolution Bakery should be able to sell their gluten free items at the Santa Fe Farmer's Market. They are local and offer something the market does not have and should have in this community.

Please let revolution bakery sell at the farmers market! They have the best gluten-free products I have ever tasted! The present gluten-free offerings you have at the market are substandard.
