Give us our BREAD! It's only reasonable that people who shop at a farmers market want gluten free bakery items.

Truly a local, healthful alternative for the gluten-free community who deserve to be better served by vendors at the SF Farmer's Market.

Based on the wording of this petition I see no reason why Revolution Bakery should be denied the opportunity to sell their products at the Farmers Market. Their baked goods are excellent and would make a great addition to the offerings there. I am a long time supporter of both the Farmers Market and Revolution Bakery and would like to see them together.

Hello Dave, That has never been mentioned to me by the board or market director...... My reply to SFFM post- The Santa Fe Farmers Market Board can, and DOES, invite vendors to participate who do not completely fit, for one reason or another, the 100% local source criteria, to include product diversity otherwise not possible. They sell those products in the market store and café as well. While we at Revolution would be happy to “rise to the occasion” and contract to grow grain locally, we do not use one wheat berry, we use over 40 varied ancient grains and foods, (part of the reason we are so healthy) many of these require specialized climates and regions. TO SAY ONE VENDOR FROM TAOS HAD PERMISSION TO SELL GLUTEN FREE IS MISLEADING. This vendor has had permission for years, and is currently selling, the same non local sourced gluten free grains she has been. Only after being alerted to the legal conflict this permission has raised has there been talk of stopping her sales as well. This would be a sad outcome for the community of Santa Fe, effectively eliminating any access to anything gluten free at all! Revolution Bakery uses local honey, fruit, nuts, berries, eggs, and dairy. Whatever we can possibly buy locally, WE DO. We are currently selling at Los Alamos Mkt (the original and oldest mkt in the state), El Dorado mkt., Downtown Growers mkt in Abq, and the Railyard market in Abq. At those markets we sample other local vendor products with our own, buy from those vendors, and also promote them in our store and at our market booths. We are 100% committed to the local food revolution, and really, really want a chance to offer a healthy alternative, gluten free bread and pastries for all those that want and NEED IT. Please, Santa Fe Farmers Market, recognize the NEED in our community for healthy gluten free food, Let the Revolution happen!

Of course Revolution should be at the Farmer's Market. I've heard of this favoritism before...

so what's up with this, SF Farmers' Market? Your home town Revolution Bakery is the best gluten-free yummiest in the state and you're keeping them out of the market? Really?
