Bridge Street School and its surrounding property are significant town assets that are available for the use and benefit of Suffield citizens. The property should be preserved and utilized in a productive way and incorporated into the existing town center in a manner that will serve the town for generations.
We are proud of our heritage and determined to create a high quality of life for all our citizens. We must not squander or sell this town treasure – it represents the last remaining vestige of Suffield's historic town center.
This property can serve multiple purposes for our town. Possibilities could include space for the use of numerous community activities and meetings. The additional land could be utilized as an attractive and useful park. Repurposing the site would enhance the appearance and vitality of the town center.
I am a resident of Suffield, Connecticut, and agree that our town should move forward with a plan to use the Bridge Street School property for the use and benefit of the town.

I went to school there. I would love to see it restored. Let's move forward with a plan to make it a community center.

Let's put Bridge St. back to good use, like it served us well w/ our children's education in the past!!
Having a Community Activity Center where the Park & Recreation Department can have a home to stage all their programs would be such an improvement to our Town. It's not just about sports and kid camps in the summer. To have a year round place where art and craft classes and workshops for photography, music, dance, yoga, creative writing- all the pursuits that promote fulfillment in peoples lives, would give our town center a liveliness and vitality that is missing. Right now the people of Suffield have to go to neighboring towns to find this.
That building is just sitting there rotting away. Such a waste of a good space. Lets get it fixed up for the community before its too late.

My family and I would love to see Bridge Street School become a Community Center for all ages. Its a beautiful building, it would be ashame to tear down such a piece of history in our beautiful little town. Give the kids a playground, a place to play basketball, a meeting place for all ages.. Give the middle school kids somewhere to go thats safe and fun.
