The stories you are sending about how this center changed your lives are devastating and beautiful at the same time. I am spending my evenings compiling these experiences into a document that the administration cannot ignore when we finally sit down with them.

Seeing this kind of momentum reminds me why my own time at Alesco was so vital. It feels incredible to know so many people understand why this place must stay open for students who need it.

I have worked at the crèche that supported this school. They lost that facility and now they have lost everything. I personally know 2 students attending this school right now. They are there for a reason. They have the right to an education.
With the closing of alesco all students including myself have been devastated, teachers and perants have hated the news about the closing of alesco because we were all doing amazingly. Alesco has provided more opportunities then all the other schools have, sincerely Caleb
It is the only secondary learning environment that supported my daughter through her mental illness
Every kid needs a place they are comfortable and for some this is there only place and last chance before the government gives them no option and of course then leaves kids feeling like failures and setting them up for self destruction. Our town needs this school !
A minority of students cannot function in main stream school for a variety of reasons. That doesn't mean they should miss out on an education. Closing Alesco would not be beneficial to current or future students.
This school is helping so many people it deserves to be where it is.
A terrible shame. The children have nowhere else to go.

I don’t understand why the government would not allow ongoing funding to support those kids who have improved via not going mainstream. Being rural this is a major source for those who are bullied at school and do not progress where as this form of education has proven that it works. I have seen one child grow, learn and from not wanting to get educated to changing his mind but also fighting for it!
