Following the West Torrance High School's renovations the TUSD decided to remove the concepts of blinds, due to "modernization". Currently the buildings that have been effected by the removal of blinds are Building 3 and Building 4. Due to the increased reports of shootings on campus and various reasons, it is imperative we re-install the blinds on the Buildings of West High School.

It’s crucial now more than ever for our school to have blinds for safety purposes.
My skin burns from the sun. I require thy blinds so I may not be blind nor burnt nor require sun block for period 3 alone.
I like the buildings with the blinds. I don't lie the sun shining into the room all the time.
its honestly super hard to see the board when the glare is hitting the screens. plus the sun just beats down on us all afternoon. just put them back up.
it can get really hot in the classroom because the sun is coming from outside and into the windows. our bodies can get really hot and make us feel very uncomfortable and some can’t even concentrate on learning.

i feel so exposed in my 4th period class. anyone can look right in and that makes me feel unsafe. modernization shouldnt mean we lose our privacy.
