West Haven High School is planning on closing the shop classes and on longer offering them as electives. If you believe the Board of Education should reconsider this decision and leave the shops open, Please sign this petition. Thank you for your support
The emails I receive from former students who credit these shops with their entire careers are heavy to read but they keep me going. I have been spending my nights gathering documentation to present at the next meeting because the silence from the school board is growing deafening.

Reaching this point has been exhausting but seeing the support grow gives me a reason to keep fighting these cuts. This momentum shows that people care about keeping these skills alive in our school. We are far from finished.

This is ridiculous. Those classes are the only reason some kids even want to come to school. Don't take that away from them.

my dad took shop in west haven and it taught him a trade that he uses every single day. kids need to learn how to fix things instead of just staring at screens all day.
