The City Council has officially cancelled the proposed condominium project and confirmed that the senior center will remain in its current location. I appreciate the dedication shown by this community in protecting our waterfront space. We will continue to monitor the site to ensure these plans remain permanent.

CITIZENS for RESPONSIBLE ANTIOCH WATERFRONT DESIGN AND DEVELOPEMENT (CRAWDAD)

Updates

The momentum surrounding our request for a public hearing confirms that the future of the Beede Lumber parcel remains a priority for our community. This growing interest signals to the Antioch City Council that residents expect a formal opportunity to discuss alternative designs for our waterfront.

We need to keep this beautiful waterfront for the people to enjoy it. The land will be great to put some grassy area and the slope is perfect for an amphitheater like setting to watch the boats go by, or bands, or just watching the children play. Condos will only benefit a handful of people but a park will serve thousands for generations. Let's have this beautiful venue be here for years to come, for everyone to enjoy.

No stinkin' condos! Antioch develope one of your most beautiful assets properly to encourage all east county residents to want to visit and enjoy what Rivertown should be offering them! Make a venue for public gatherings and entertainment that will encourage people to visit, spend money on food and entertainment, which will encourage new businesses. Antioch is one of the few Bay Area waterfront towns that has failed to properly utilize their waterfront for the betterment of the City, it's residents and visitors!

Riverfront property is premium property. A moratorium needs to be put in place to stop any development on this property. Building permits should not be issued for any type of living quarters.

The city manager and the city council do not think enough citizens give a hoot about the river front or the old part of town to organize. They aint seen nothing yet.
