We want VOLUNTARY masks in Colonial Heights school buildings this 2021-22 academic year
Parents and students of CHPS want masks OPTIONAL in school buildings this 2021-22 academic year. We do not agree with Superintendent Sroufe or the CH School Board ( Angie Woody, Chris Kollman, Krishna Agrawal, Keith Kapinskis, Lia Tremblay ) mandating masks in school. We want CHOICE of masks for students, staff, visitors and spectators not only in school buildings but also at ALL related school activities and ALL venues indoors and out including band, clubs, sports, awards and assemblies, dances, school trips, school transportation and graduation.

Masks should be left up to the parents. If they require Masks go back to last school years schedule. They don't need to wear masks for a full day. Make classrooms to where there is social distancing and no Masks while sitting at desk. Only require Masks in hallways since cannot social distance.
My daughter has very bad anxiety and the masks make it do much worse. I do not need my child to wear a mask!
My wife and have 3 kids in Colonial Heights schools. One of them is about to start kindergarten and is 5 years old the others are 17 and 16 a senior and a junior. They should not have to wear a mask in school!!!
At the end of the school year my child became very concerned about being sick. Making me and her teacher check her for a fever regularly. We have gone all summer with no masks. Daycare just recently reinstated them…suddenly the need to check her regularly for a fever returned. We have to think about what we are doing psychology to our children.
My daughter has a rare disease and it makes it really hard for her to wear a mask for more than a few mins at a time without having problems which then causes her bad anxiety! Unmask our children! They have been without them all summer!

I think we should have to wear our mask if we don’t want too. Some people it’s against there religious and some people have troubles breathing in the mask. It’s not fair to any of us. It’s also not good for our lungs. We have to breath in that little amount of air and keep on breathing the same air while having the mask on. You need fresh air and the mask is not giving us fresh air. (if you can small a fart through your underwear/pants)then this mask isn’t helping anything. If our lungs are bad by the time we’re 30 we can say it’s because we were forced to wear a mask when we were teenagers.

I want to come back to in person school but I do NOT want to wear a mask. If the mask is mandatory I will remain in a homeschool program for my own; health, safety, and mental health! It is mentally exhausting to keep the mask on all day! I can’t do it
