In late January, early February 2013, Blake Shelton made a remark...... Nobody wants to listen to their grandpa’s music. And I don’tcare how many of these old farts around Nashville going, “My God, that ain’t country!” Well that’s because you don’t buy records anymore, jackass. The kids do"

Many people feel that remarkopened the door for us Old farts& Jackasses to march through and let Nashville music producers, labels and radio know what wewant! We want traditional country music back and on the mainstream COUNTRY radio stations. We do not want it mixed up with this new so called country.

We will be doing a second annual march on Music Row, in early June 2014 at the same time CMA Fest is going, we won't have the exact date till early 2014. We would love to have you attend if possible.

I know many would love to join the march, but for one reason or another are not able to. If you want to be part of it and can't do themarch, bring a lawn chair and sit on the side, that way you will still be heard and be counted.Whether you can or will attend the march PLEASE or notstill make your voice heard, by signing this petition!

So come on folks, let's take our country music and radio stations back to real country.

Ask your friends to attend and to sign this petition! Thank you!!!!

The feedback I receive daily reinforces the collective desire to honor the roots of the genre. We are preparing for the upcoming gathering on Music Row to ensure our preferences are clearly understood by those in positions of influence.

The momentum behind this movement confirms that a significant audience remains dedicated to traditional country sounds. We are successfully demonstrating that the demand for authentic music is far from obsolete.

You are absolutely right.. I still listen to the old time music, of the 50's thru the 80's or so, and still love it the same. I even listened to a Franco/traditional radio station, were they sang in French, I didn't know a dam thing they were saying, but I remembered the music, and also some of the English lyrics. WE NEED TRADITIONAL COUNTRY to be brought back to life, and there must be a song in this statement somewhere. AcKean Music Publsihing.

Used to love turning on the country station but now I just keep it off. Shame.

So tired of this pop trash. Its not country music anymore. Just wish the radio would play some good tunes from the 80s or 90s instead of this auto tune junk.

Miss the real stuff so much. Everything now is just identical, loud, and annoying. BRING BACK THE FIDDLE AND STEEL GUITAR!

Blake Shelton really showed his true colors with that comment. I grew up on Haggard and Jones and I cant stand what they play on the radio now. It all sounds like pop music with a fake southern accent.
