When you give the best years of your life to a Airline and keep them from going under after 911 you deserve more then broken promises and be treated like a can of trash . We were the first to die that horrible day ,show some respect AA!!!

I head hijacked and the hostage at gun point. I received the FAA gold medal of valor- I took the buyout and retired- only to be treated like a third class citizen. Shame on you American

After 28 years, my job was sent to South America and I was not invited to go there. Now I have time to travel with my passes and you would think I was an alien. I’m really disappointed. Good luck and God Bless all my fellow retirees. God Bless American Airlines. We really need him!

I honored with equal travel rights the retirees during my 35 years at American. It is now my turn to be honored.

D2R is not fair or moral. We should be grandfathered in and new hires made to sign up for D2R

Please take the apostrophe out of it's in the last two paragraphs. It's stands for "it is" which does not fit either or those sentences. Let us be educated and professional about this. We the employee's doesn't make sense either. It should be, " We are (or were) the employees...." no apostrophe!!!

We made many sacrifices to help keep AA afloat. The extra hours we worked, sometimes without any compensation. Our concern was for American. Our retirement travel was something we could look forward to for a job well done. Instead we were handed a gift of D2R. This was unfair to all the retirees who gave their all.

Good parents teach their children to keep their promises. “A promise made must be a promise kept.” — Aristotle (c. 384 B.C. to 322 B.C.) That truth is still valid today. AA needs to return the promised D2 travel to its retirees.

It’s unfair that the rules changed after a promise was made to the retirees. And now they are being pushed back further by the new rule that married folks can add a companion as a D2/D1, pushing retirees back even further behind people that were never employees, earning the right to fly. It’s just not fair.
