The school administration confirmed this morning that Ms. Alcover is returning to her full duties effective immediately. We have secured a formal meeting with the board to review the new oversight protocols that will prevent this type of personnel disruption in the future.

When you think of King Richard III College what is it that you think of? Well for most of us, if not to say all, we think of Ms. Alcover. Mostly, of her personalized greetings in the morning knowing each and every pupil’s name, her energetic morning line up assembly address with the children, and an advocate for the parents when we have needed it. Her dedication for 24 years at King Richards is the thread that holds it together and what has ensured the proper education of all the students at King Richards.

However, in light of recent events it has come to our attention that Ms. Alcover has been shut out of her job and duties at King Richard College. The first real public example of this was the Halloween Parade this past week. The event lacked all the enthusiasm and organization that she has been in charge of for years now. If existing parents are looking to speak to her they are redirected to Mr. Berry immediately. Her only function at the school now seems to be the meet and greet at the school entrance. All this because she was had disagreements with Mr. Berry about issues she felt were detrimental to the success of the students.

The situation we are in now will pale in comparison as to what will happen at King Richard if it continues to run without Ms. Alcover. We have also seen an influx of Spanish teachers teaching our children at he higher levels of studies and we should be focusing our attention on the British curriculum. In the end the ones that will suffer are our children emotionally and also in their studies.

We need the parents to stand together in such a precarious time and demand the return of Ms. Alcover’s involvement for King Richard and mostly for our children.

The volume of support gathered indicates a clear mandate to address the tenure of Mrs. Alcover. I am drafting a formal letter to the board of governors to request an immediate review of her employment status and current duties. I will notify you once I receive a response regarding a meeting time.

Mrs Alcover epitomises our idea of what a Private British/International school should be, and the single largest reason we chose KR3. Surely, with so many paying parents and their children so moved by this, we are owed some level of transparency?

MRS. Alcover always was the smile and delight that helped every purple throughout there daily life problems. From my very first day at school (September 1997) up until June 2012 she was a very motivated and delightful leader and friend and I would even say person of trust for all students. I really wish for her to come back!!

Una de las razones por las que he cambiado a los niños a este colegio , muy importante es gracias a la directora , la sra. Alcover,, es el alma de este colegio , conoce a todos los niños y padres, y hace el colegio muy cercano , creo q es un pilar fundamental

This should not be about personal pride and whathas been said but only about what is best for the education of our children. KRIII is advised to set aside differences and move forward as the team it used to be.

Miss Alcover is the soul of KR3!! During all my years at school she has been like a second mother to me and I still remeber it like that! If she leaves, it will be just one more school, if she stays, it will be THE school!! She can't leave!

Mrs A rules OK. Seriously though, Mrs Alcover is the epitome of the school headmistress many of us never had. She greets the children and parents each day and is there to wish them goodbye each night. Mrs Alcover is a shining example of fairness and firmness - totally professional in all ways. In my view irreplaceable.
