I would like to see my grandchildren enrolled as they are very much native and want to be native very badly, but if you refuse them membership in the Tribe, that's going to be very disappointing to them. I am a full blooded Ojibwe.

We voted, now the council needs to listen to the people....this is for the White Earth Reservation, this is for the People....to strengthen White Earth!!

How could I even vote against when I never received a ballot? Better yet since I didn't have the chance to vote it was an automatic yes for this change...come on Erma really?! You use big fancy words in the Anishinaabeg when you think its in your best interest...Do you really think that the we don't know how to use or own a dictionary?! I used to look up to you growing up and on every Sunday you were right next to Father Doyle Turner preaching the Gospel...yet when he decided to run against you years ago you gladly brought the fact that he was a man of God...maybe you should have turned to God instead of away...your Harvard degree sure didn't teach you that you should practice what you preach instead of bragging about how you started Camp Justice not even naming all the other people who worked just as hard to stop the corruption just so you could do the same thing..

I am an enrolled member of white earth and would very much like my family to be able to be members also. My children and grandchildren are so very proud of their heritage and have been learning everything they can about their heritage and would like to become members of the White Earth tribe. I feel they are entitled to become members. We have voted for this constitution to be changed and what was it all for if a small group of people are going to come in and stop all the progress of changing the constitution .

I am a non lineal descendant tracing back to my direct ancestors through the 1863-64 Red Lake Pembina Treaty as well as First Nation. My ancestors and relatives trace to the Pembina Chippewa Band in ND. I would really like an end to my identity battle and so very much want to be a part of my circle of families where I and my siblings belong. Our ppl voted and spoke clearly! I question why a gag order was placed? Where is our honor and respect? Why are you ignoring our voices?

I am a first generation descendant, my late father was an enrolled member of white earth and would be turning over in his grave if he knew about this. This issue has divided families, it is time to make us whole again and implement the new constitution that passed by 80% of the vote.
