The 740 W. Fulton Board introduced plans for a new lobby including updates to the first and second floor, at a cost of $1.5m. Whether you totally oppose the renovations or would like the ability to vote on more options, by signing this petition, you are voting "no" to the special assessment and asking the board to go back to the drawing board.
Owner 1101 - I wish to vote no due to lack of transparency. Lack of attendance at board meetings is not valid rationale for communicating limited information to unit owners (i.e. some of us may have conflicts). Additionally, from experience, the Board is not inclusive in that forum even when in attendance and seems to be motivated by self-interest. Decisions with this significant of impact to the building and/or the financials of unit owners should be communicated in advance/prominent manner with appropriate buy-in from unit owners.

Disappointed the board must have been working on this over a year and not one email or survey asking the other 127 owners what we'd like for the building. Another instance of no communication or transparency on building projects or incidents. They have stated no one goes to meetings, so why not send monthly update emails? That's the way they communicate garage and window washing, and unit remodels. Many of us would not use the upgrades. We're not interested in being compared to the luxury rental units surrounding us. We bought in this building, not a luxury building with higher fees. These new areas would need extra cleaning and time to administer use.

I'm not opposed to Special Assessments.
I am opposed to the size and lack of transparency regarding this Special Assessment and require more information before this can proceed.
