We, the signers of this petition show solidarity with our developing partners: UTA, MAG, UDOT, Provo, Orem, and Utah County in the Provo/Orem BRT project. We understand change can be difficult and confusing, but in the end, it's a project we stand firmly behind and realize it's a great beginning to a broader transportation plan for our fine cities and greater Utah County area.

The local obstructionists are still trying to kill the BRT project with their constant misinformation campaigns. I am fed up with their attempts to stall progress while our traffic gets worse every single day. We need to stay loud so the city council knows that the majority of us are not falling for their tired excuses.

Provo has needed something like this for a very long time. My only disappointment is that pedestrian islands were not included in the plan in key pedestrian areas like 700 N and University Avenue.
This would have made a major difference to me as a student at BYU. It's too late for it to help me now, but I would like for it to be available to those who come after me. I'm also in favor of anything that reduces the congestion in downtown Provo.
I really feel like this project is important for the general well-being of the community now and in the future. This is a public health and accessibility issue! Not just an "upgraded" route.
I enthusiastically support BRT in Provo/Orem. BRT is an important piece of a larger transportation puzzle that we need to put together now, before our county doubles in population (a short 25 years from now).
The time for BRT is now. It's an important step toward reducing our air pollution problem. We've been waiting for this for far oo long.

The sooner we embrace change the better.

In 10 years we will look back and wonder what all the fuss was about. I can't wait for BRT to be finished so I can ride it to work!!
