By signing below I agree that Brandilynne Barber should no doubt remain as Miss Charlottesville for her entire reign. She is what I consider to be a very outstanding, and authentically beautiful young lady, Bran relentlessly goes out of her way to help others. She does so despite being constantly bullied and scrutinized, yet keeps that beautiful smile, and genuine lovable personality. She has shown her ability to not only visit nursing homes and schools, but to raise funds to bring them warm blankets, toys for children, books and the most important is her ability to give human interaction, such is holding a hand in a nursing home along with a compassionate hug. She has been told by a few elderly people that NO ONE has ever done that for them before. Bran does. Bran really cares, and it shines through.

We realize youth today is faced with SO many issues with social media, texting, snapchat and other apps. Parents can't keep up as many apps are hidden. It is so easy for any young person to say or do something that SOMEONE SOMEWHERE may not approve of. Even older adults fall victim. We don't want parents to shun pageants because they are afraid their child will face humiliation by having to give up their title, should they fall short of expectations that are not even clearly defined. In Bran's case she didn't even get a warning. I would rather lift up these young people if they falter, than to kill their confidence and self esteem. Suicides are at a all time high, and we always say "Why didn't they come to us?" Well..Maybe they did. Maybe we failed them. Maybe we didn't clearly explain what was expected before we persecuted them. Especially where known bullying is involved. We will not support removing Brandilynne's title as she is human and everyone makes mistakes. In fact, she is becoming the perfect person to speak on bullying, and the effects of social media. She has already risen up by being determined to overcome these issues, and give a voice to the cause. We would much rather her continue to hold those hands, round up toys and be who Bran is. She is real, she's not some overly polished, perfect girl that other girls can't quite live up to. The fake girl. The girl that is an artificial expectation of perfection. Bran may not do everything just so, but she is a terrific Miss Charlottesville. Leave her title intact. Guide her. We have heard you may lose a scholarship, but putting funds before the life, happiness and self esteem of a young lady you put a crown, on doesn't speak loudly to what is important. Putting your young queen first makes a solid statement of true caring, and support for youth. It shows you MEANT what you said about self confidence, and self esteem being a priority. The community will see you have risen to support a young lady who helps others, rather than bring her down because some one complains. People will always complain. talk and spread gossip. If someone questions Bran's integrity as Miss Charlottesville. it is easy to respond. " You know Bran has legally done no wrong. She is an amazing young lady who would help you tomorrow if she could" She is the perfect example of a young lady balancing college, stellar community service and so much more in a very trying world. She makes many happy and we are glad she has that God given ability. People will always gossip, but Bran is a terrific advocate against bullying. Bran should remain Miss Charlottesville through her reign. She excels in the perfect human way. Thank you !

Isn't removing her crown a form of bullying in itself? Shameful to expect perfection rather than promote understanding and guidance. That's what we should be teaching our young people rather than blatant ridicule.

My daughter competes in some of the same pageants as Bran and we love her. Very sweet, caring young lady who always does an awesome job with the little ones. Wonderful role model.

This young lady has been a great role model for my 17 year old daughter. I do not understand what you are looking for in a spokesperson/representative for your pageant if it is not good role models for our teenage young women. I really hope you reconsider what you are thinking of doing.

Brandilynne is an amazing young women! She loves her title as Miss Charlottesville and whenever we are together she speaks highly of the pageant and of the amazing experience she has had as queen. She 100% deserves this title!

My daughter was bullied too. When she finally had enough and stood up for herself - she was the one accused of bullying! To this day, that made my daughter stronger. she's now in leadership with anti bully campaigns and helps others. I know Brandilynne will do amazing things!
