We Support an Athletic Field and Public Park at 91st Street and East Trailside View!

Can the supporters explain to me why SPA first bought land that wasn't large enough for a school and athletic field, then bought land specifically for an athletic field, but now believes the City should allow SPA to build a field on park land and have the City maintain it? Nobody wants a football field as a park other than SPA. Why doesn't SPA just use the land it purchased?

I support the field being built on 91st over Palo Brea

I support the athletic field on 91st and Trailside.

I believe this athletic field facility will benefit Scottsdale tremendously.

This field is a great deal for the City of Scottsdale. It also helps a great Scottsdale school and Scottsdale students.

Athletics and exercise should always be encouraged and practiced. If there is a need to help facilitate that, I fully support such amenities.

Please consider the joint venture between City of Scottsdale and Scottsdale Prep Academy to build a park which has already been zoned as park space and will benefit all Scottsdale residents.

We strongly support the sports complex being proposed for this location. It's a great benefit to the area since we have nothing like it on this side of Pima Rd. Given all the traffic issues with the Waste Management Open and constant West World activities, it's very helpful to have this is an option for all of us families North of the 101. Sincerely,

I lived in the Estates neighborhood that's contiguous to both proposed locations for 10 years, having just sold our home in March. I feel the proposed location on 91st is a win-win for Scottsdale residents and Scottsdale Preparatory. The land on Palo Brea is zoned for office use, and thus the homeowners who bought houses in the Estates had reasonable cause to expect the land to be developed subject to zoning and CC&R's consistent with such a use. The development of a field is an unexpected twist which would surely negatively affect the houses north of the field on Palo Brea. Furthermore, this site plan doesn't allow for enough parking, causing further harm to the neighborhood, and it also doesn't fully meet the needs of SPA athletics. The new proposed location on 91st mitigates these issues, allowing for ample parking and expanded amenities for the school and Scottsdale residents. This land was set aside by DMB for Scottsdale use as a park, a sign has been posted all 10 years we lived there, so it's safe to say its proposed use as a park is well known. I understand some of the neighbors in the subdivision on Trailside don't like the proposed change, but the fact remains they purchased homes next to what was always a proposed park, making it really a non-issue. The fact that it's not costing tax payer dollars to implement is a win, and one the COS should gratefully accept.

We are residents of DC Ranch and we do not have a problem with the recreational area Great Hearts would like to develop. This area will bring added value to the entire neighborhood.

This is a win win, the City of Scottsdale cannot afford to let this opportunity pass!

Public Park here would be a great idea. I support this project completely.
