Green urban spaces are valuable. If the trees really are diseased, find out whether they can live with the condition (many can and do) and if not, please, please, please plant new ones.

It is not worth losing those trees so a bus lane can be put in. What advantage are the busses going to gain.

Totally useless money wasting idea already a lethal road for residents let alone making it wider and for what just to go narrow again and cause more congestion a few meters further down the road! What about creating safe green parking for residents so that they don't have to dodge traffic and wallow in the mud caused by cars having to park on the verges - far more sensible idea and cheaper and wouldn't have to chop loads of trees down.

Green verges and trees are more important to the residents of Caerphilly Road than a bus lane which will make little difference except blight their homes. The crap 27 service is due to management of Cardiff Bus who write impossible timetables. I know as I worked there

Caerphilly road does not need a bus lane! It's barely big enough for the two lanes it has, let alone depriving houses and residents of their peace and already limited quiet. I use Caerphilly road at rush hour and the buses already go faster than every car and pedestrian. Ridiculously conceived idea. Please abandon it immediately.

I am totally behind this petition.
Ridiculous waste of money and will spoil the quality of life for the local residents who want to use the pavements. Bus lanes make it very dangerous for pedestrians as the road is too close to the path.

Ridiculous waste of money. Another example of Cardiff City Council making a change which will not make a huge difference and waste money public money which should be spent on more important and higher priority projects

I have lived in Llanishen for around 40 years. A bus lane is the most pathetic thing to put on a road that is congested as this. The road is not wide enough to make any difference. Not only that the Welsh Assembly have had funding cut so this bus lane is a total waste of tax payers money
