A ridiculous waste of ratepayers money. So badly thought out. I don't feel there would be any traffic benefit. Only make things more difficult for people living there and no parking facilities.

Too many negatives - ridiculous idea!
- The pavements will become too small
- A bus lane would not entice the public to use buses
- A short bus lane will cause delays with the drivers having to dip in and out on an already busy road
- Removal of tress will decrease water drainage

I feel very sorry for residents who will have busses passing so close to their houses. If I lived on that busy road, I would certainly want to keep the trees and grassy verges.
Also, it is difficult to see how journey times would be substantially altered given that busses will have to wait for other road users to let them back in to the main lane.

I travel this route every day to work in town. I catch an earlier bus than needed to avoid any delay. I strongly oppose the destruction of these trees for the purpose of a bus lane, which in my opinion will not reduce the length of travel time, to get to a non-existant bus terminus.

A total waste of time and money to cut down beautiful healthy trees for what? 100 metres of a bus lane which will filter back into the flow of traffic. Nothing to gain and an awful lot to lose.
