This would be disastrous for the hydrodynamics of the area. The trees and verges are currently taking up the surface water that will be overloading our already hydrologically overloaded sewers if taken away.

Please focus this money on existing damaged roads instead of creating this bus lane (that isn't needed or wanted).

A complete waste of money and appalling that you think removing trees for a bus lane of such a short distance is a good idea. Whoever thought of this plan should be sacked. Disgraceful

What a pointless waste of money (regardless of where the money is coming from) for a 100m bus lane that will not ease congestion in the slightest. Very ill thought through. The grass verges are to be removed, but these act as a soak away for rain water, and Welsh Water have not been informed of this or provisions put in place. An utter waste of resources for no benefit.

The council must have money to waste. 100 metres of bus lane?? Really? Why can't you give the money that would be wasted from this to the homeless, or build me homeless hostels to help poor people.

I live in Whitchurch but often traveling down Caerphilly Rd. It would be a sin to cut these beautiful trees down.

Ludicrous! I was under the mistaken impression council members were elected to represent the views and instructions of residents? Clearly Cardiff Council have not understood this concept....

This is plain stupidity especially when you take into account the amount of rainfall we've had recently and the fact the trees 'drink' gallons of water a day

Bloody ridiculous idea! Leave the trees and the road alone!

This bus lane is completely pointless and will cause unnecessary issues for residents with parking etc
