There is no necessity for a bus lane in Caerphilly Rd.
Surely our money should be spent on something more worthwhile such as road repairs for example.

This is a gross mis spend of public money and to what advantage? Spend the money on something more worthwhile and leave this beautiful tree alone.

With limited resources this is a crazy act of vandalism and shows very little thought and planning or environmental awareness.

Waste of money. Better to repair the roads and keep the trees as they absorb lots of water and are an excellent natural flood defence. If the trees really are diseased, as has been implied elsewhere, either treat them or replace them.

Wasting money to destroy the look and feel of a city. The trees are a beautiful feature. Please do not destroy them.

Madness. Britain floods, partly due to removed woodlands and now we plan to remove trees from urban space? Potty.

Senseless destruction of beautiful trees. Would prefer to sit on the bus a few minutes longer and look at the stunning blossom!

There is enough 'concrete jungle' around, keep the trees.

Waste of time and money. If the council are concerned about the flow of traffic along Caerphilly Road then they should do something about the CONSTANT parked cars on the yellow lines on the opposite side of the road between the Birchgrove and New Inn pubs. You can NEVER use it meaning there is only ever the outside lane to navigate. Never see a traffic warden there and never seen it clear!

There are far more pressing concerns for which tax/rate-payer's money can be used. whilst funding for some excellent causes is being withdrawn. Time to show some sense of responsibility to the people who pay for this wastage!

Money would be better spent repairing the potholes in the roads, absolutely crazy idea.

What idiot put four bus stops in such close proximity to the Caerphilly Road Maesycoed Road Traffic lights? the only thing he/she achieved was to block the lights whenever a bus stopped at the stop, the same idiot is most likely responsible for suggesting the bus lane, which is not required and will not ease the traffic problem in the slightest.

How can the Council justify spending hundreds of thousands of pounds on this pointless exercise when they are constantly bleating on about not having any any money

This will add no real benefits for buses and the road but poorly impact residents and locals
