I believe that, apart from the ecological impact of removing so many trees from this area, the loss of pedestrian space will be a danger. The pavement will become very narrow which will cause problems for those with children, pushchairs etc. Other area with bus lanes do not seem to have solved the traffic problems so I cannot see the reason behind spending so much money and achieving nothing, except the loss of yet another small "green space".

This is an utter waste of public money that benfits no one. The traffic will never improve in or out of Cardiff unless something is done about the routes into the John Lewis and St.Davids car parks.

The proposed bus lane is totally unnecessary and a complete waste of time and money.

This makes no sense, a waste of money in a time where budget cuts are rife.

Urgent reconsideration needed, the cost, the forecast time gain benefits, the effect on rainwater runoff, the dangerous width of the proposed cycle/walkway, the loss of the trees, etc etc.

Please don't waste a large amount of money on this destroying nature in our urban environment for a few hundred metres of bus lane that doesn't continue either side

Sort the parking problem out for the residents instead which would be 100% more beneficial

I really cannot see any benefits to putting in a bus lane on such a small stretch of road - it will only save seconds on the bus journey.

Vandalism of nature for no reason. We should be planting more trees and preserving those we already have.

I live on Caerphilly road, and I think that installing bus lanes is a waste of time and money. The bus stop is already directly outside of our house, and so narrowing the pavements and bringing the bus stop closer will cause people to practically be standing in our front garden! The pavements are narrow enough already. Getting rid of the trees and all of the grass will make this busy road even less attractive, and where will all of the parked cars go that park alongside the grass? This bus lane instalment seems way more hassle than it's worth and will cause more negatives than positives to our community.

Please don't remove the trees - They have far more benefits than a small amount of bus lane! They removed Cherry Trees in Bassaleg, Newport, then had to replant more because they were protected!

Save the trees on Caerphilly Road! I would rather keep the trees than get to work five minutes earlier!

The last few weeks has shown that the removal of trees is contributory to flooding, so you want to remove some more! That's intelligent isn't it!
