This new, truncated, bus lane will have very limited effect. The existing pavement is narrow and to have it co-exist with cyclists will only increase the chance of an accident. A complete waste of money.

Save the trees! Keeps pollution down. There is already a bus lane there.

I don't understand why you would chop down oxygen giving trees in a highly polluted car traffic area to make way for more traffic! I use that road every morning in peak traffic and adding a bus lane won't make the slightest bit of difference. Cardiff is known for being a green city with lots of trees don't cut them down!!

It would be a real shame to see the loss of any more trees in the Heath area. The trees improve the environment for those who live on Caerphilly Road as they provide a buffer to the heavy traffic. More frequent smaller busses would provide an improved safer form of public transport and the bus lanes would not be required. The more trees we have the lest risk of flooding.

I cycle this route every day and sharing a cycle path with pedestrians is a recipe for disaster. Instead of uprooting trees for a poor solution, why not improve the existing road, enabling an extra, switchable lane, such as on North Road south of Mainly Stadium?

Bus lanes here, as on Manor Way at the golf club, will be a complete waste of time and money, so why do it? Plant more trees instead!

What an ill informed idea and total waste of money. Should put the money to saving oldwell court alzheimers Day Centre instead - now that is a cause worth saving.

My family moved to Cardiff April 2014 & one of the things we love about this city is that it's country too. Being brought up in the county of Herefordshire, it was an easy transition for me to move from country life to city life because of these little gems throughout this great city. From some of the streets that have trees down the side to the parks in & around Cardiff. I know residents aren't happy about the plans & surely they are the ones getting onto the bus in that area so surely if they are ok with it, why fix something that isn't broken.

Ridiculous waste of public funds for 100 metres worth of bus lane, when far more important things need urgent funding due to cuts in budgets to school and nhs i.e. Things that matter. Priorities!!

I fail to understand how the proposed changes will benefit the community.

I live in Canton and work in Bedwas, I use this road six days a week. How long will Cardiff Council, biggest shareholder in Cardiff Bus, be allowed to discriminate against tax paying drivers whilst taking over OUR roads for Cardiff buses benefit, I pay more in insurance, road tax etc than all the passengers on the number 27 (often one empty one following a not so empty one in front) pay in a year, and yes, some of it called Road Tax
