We oppose the bus lanes on Caerphilly Road

This is a waste of money! The buses run quite easily down Caerphilly Road now and 100 yards or so of bus lane is going to cause so much more grief, I can't believe you think this will make things easier. If it were the length of Caerphilly Road, then that would be different! You are intending to cut down healthy trees which actually aid in terms of water distribution and air quality and will probably in your eyes get a bus into town 3 minutes quicker! It's a joke.

The trees are what make this road unique. Bus lanes would spoil this and cause confusion.

Leave the greenery be. They are beautiful and we need the oxygen to breathe. Don't turn every green spot into a concrete jungle for the sake of a few busses. We managed fine before, I have no complaints about Caerphilly road transport.

It is a ridiculous plan that will do nothing to improve overall traffic or public transport but make the road more cramped and force home owners to park away from their homes thus making other areas more crowded and dangerous.

I cannot see any benefit to this muddled thinking other more congestion, traffic and the creation of rat runs either side of Caerphilly road. Being done at a time when the Council has no money....

So many issues raised including drainage and safety of pedestrians, cyclists and motorists for the sake of reducing bus travelling time down one road by a few minutes.

Why do this when Cardiff is looking such a mess, waste bins, pot holes and poor pavements. Spend council money wisely dont waste it.

The trees are needed to soak up the bad co2 released from the cars. We need grass and trees for wildlife plus who loves and enjoys concrete? Not many. Why remove things of beauty? With flooding on the news we need all the green we can get to soak up rain water.

When budget cuts are being made in other areas it seems crazy to spend so much money on a bus lane that will have minimal impact on Caerphilly Rd traffic

I disagree with and object to the removal of these trees on Caerphilly road. Proper consultation with the local community is essential first. Environmental considerations are being ignored.

I oppose this in very much the same way as to what they are about to start doing on Manor Way where I live and that will also affect me!

This plan hasn't been thought through properly, there are many issues including a major one on water drainage that haven't been addressed!

An illustration of the disconnect of our local authority. How on earth can this be a funding priority at a time when as an authority they are consulting with the population if the city about cuts to mainstream services? Interested in our views as citizens....ahem....?
