We Demand the Resignation of All Remaining Tower Hamlets First Councillors
On 23rd April 2015 Lutfur Rahman was declared guilty by an election court of corrupt and illegal practices. The 2014 Mayoral election was declared void and a re-run ordered. Former Mayor Lutfur Rahman and former Cllr. Alibor Choudhury were immediately discharged from elected office.
Commissioner Richard Mawrey stated in his judgement: -
"the court will have to report that ‘corrupt practices have extensively prevailed at the election in the area of the authority for which the election was held.’ Given the nature of THF as a ‘party’ and the reality of its control by Mr Rahman, this means that the election of all THF Councillors must be taken to have been achieved with the benefit of the corrupt and illegal practices found by this judgment to have been committed".
All 17 remaining Tower Hamlet's First councillors were elected though corrupt and illegal practices. They are utterly disgraced. We demand their immediate resignation and the restoration of democracy in Tower Hamlets.

The momentum behind this push is heavy and real despite how exhausting this fight feels some days. It is clear that the community is finished with these disgraced officials and we are not going to let this injustice fade away.

we need true equality brought back to Tower Hamlets we won't get that from people who are using and manipulating a part of the community that they care about them as individuals, when all they actually care about is there vote that satisfies they're own ego's and aspirations we need a council that cares about the people it serves.
As an ex Poplar boy they should be shamed of not having the courage to stop this, therefor they don't deserve to be Councillors
The whole election process was fraudulent so let's draw a line under this sorry episode and start again and get the councillors the people of TH deserve.
These people were elected in very suspect conditions, should be removed. No constitution, no bank account sums it up. Picked by EX Mayor
its about time the whole lot of them cleared out. how can they still be sitting there after what the judge said. enough is enough
Vote of no confidence when they were all part of same ramshackle corrupt party
one out all out and all new members to be voted in fairly, and honestly

Disgusted by the corruption in my borough. They all knew what was going on and kept quiet so they should go now.
