we won and the water system is finally getting the overhaul we demanded. i cant believe we actually pulled this off but the officials finally listened because of all of you. stay tuned because i still want to make sure they follow through on every single repair.

Final supporters
High levels of radiation -- up to 60 times higher than the maximum allowed in drinking water -- have been found in Ten Mile Creek that feeds into our water treatment plant.
We would like our local Greene and Washington County commissioners and our State Representative to answer these questions!
Would you drink the water? Would you shower in this water? Would you let your children or grandchildren drink the water? Is it safe to swim in Ten Mile/Mon river? What is your plan to fix the problem? Who is going to pay to fix the problem? Will you attend a town meeting if invited? Why should residents pay for water that is polluted? What will be done to who is responsible? Should pregnant women drink the water? What should we do until the problem is fixed?

I agree something needs done, i have two small children, a cat and a dog who i would not want drinking or bathing in this water. When will something be done about this problem!! Its terrible that this has to happen to such sn area we have lived in for so long!!
My children BATHE in this water! We COOK with this water..their clothes are WASHED in this water...it touches their skin 24 hours a day! The people of Fredericktown DESERVE and DEMAND SAFE water!
The money received by the taxing authorities was to be used to help correct gas exploration ills, not to pay for cost overruns for a bridge destroyed by a company. If I had damaged the bridge I would have to sell ALL of my assets. Why doesn't this company?
My friends, family & Parents live there & drink the water! We've counted over 50 people with Cancer or unexplained illnesses, including my own Neice who passed away from Cancer! Something needs Done Now!!!!!
This area is so desperate for jobs that we have been letting things like this slide for too long. I bet if this was going on in Pittsburgh, Philadelphia, or Harrisburg it would be addressed immediately.
Please help us sign this petition to make sure our drinking water and flowing water is safe.

I was raised skiing on the Mon river and boating on ten mile creek since 1989. I am furious that gas drilling operations are permitted to suck water from the river and pollute our waterways with the residual waste that remains. They say they care but actions speak their intent. They simply don't care.
