We should have a protest! Spitting on the statue and spray painting it. We're all in serious debt here.. this school is a joke.

im from out of state so my tuition is through the roof and i only get $4,000 from the school to help pay for it. My brother's college options are already extremely limited because of my decision to come here and if something doesn't change in how they spend their money then i'm going to have to transfer at the end of the spring semester.

Outraged Grad Student Here!!! I have spent much more than $11,000 a year at MSU and I am completely disgusted that my money was spent on a big bird. How about using that money towards helping students who can't pay for School?

If the bird can pick me up and fly me to school then build it. But if it can't build a parking lot instead.

The school should be listening to the students better since they are ultimately most effected

I feel like making it to class on time (provided by having available parking) is WAY more important than a decoration, when most decorations on campus are in ruins anyways. The people who decided on this statues should get their priorities straight because I'm gonna be really upset passing this statues having to see this thing 100 times while lapping around the parking lots looking for a spot.

This is such a disgrace!! Think of all of the scholarships that could have gone to students! Parking, financial aid, charities, much needed renovations to some buildings just to name a few other things. They are saying it was "needed". I'm sorry, how do you justify "needing" a 12 foot, $210,000 bronze statue?! It's absurd and a disgrace.

I think it's absolutely disgusting that part of my tuition is being wasted on such a frivolous project. There is no value that this statue will add to our campus environment. The funds should go towards parking or maintaining the current classrooms and technology so that they work reliably. The university is wasting the money of students like us and we demand that it stop immediately. As paying members of the MSU community, we should have a say in how our contributions are used.

MSU doesn't need a statue and no one who has any idea what students are really struggling with supports it.

the school needs more parking or to repair buildings more than they need a statue.

I didn't choose Montclair because it has the most "school spirit." I chose it because it was practical. I realize that a University is a business in which the customers have no say, but I'm disappointed that the administration places greater value on appearance than function.
Break the Statue.
