Neighbors,
I propose the installation of a privately owned, operated, maintained and monitored camera device that will photograph vehicles as they approach the exit gate of the Watermark neighborhood of Seven Oaks.
The camera will be for the purpose of identifying vehicles by make, model and license tag number.
In response to the recent break-ins and thefts in the neighborhood, we feel it is necessary to have a video record of all vehicular traffic should additional crimes occur. This data, should it become needed in event of a crime, will be reviewed by us (the neighbors) and submitted to the Police Department as evidence to assist them in their investigation.
By signing this petition, I hereby agree that it has become necessary to involve our own resources to improve security in this neighborhood by way of installing camera surveillance.
Should the Homeowners' Association (HOA) feel these ends can be achieved to our (the neighbors') satisfaction, we (the undersigned) welcome the HOA to propose a reasonable solution. Any solution the HOA proposes must be paid for by monies already raised as part of the fees we the homeowners have paid during the current pay cycle.

The board has ignored our emails about the gate security so we are taking this to the next HOA meeting. Copy the petition link and post it on your personal Facebook page to ensure our neighbors see why this matters. Text three people who live on Watermark Drive and tell them to add their names before the meeting starts.

Reaching this level of support shows the HOA that we are serious about addressing the recent break-ins. Email the board members tonight and demand they review our proposal at the next meeting.

great point. maybe a key fob entry of sorts? the same thing they have on the pool gate at the clubhouse.
Hoping Seven Oaks HOA will support our efforts with the fees we already pay to maintain a safe community. Wondering if the current cameras can be upgraded to be useful?

I would like to suggest locked gates on the sidewalk entrances. Also, the gates should have a better reaction time. Perhaps a drop down arm as well (one car at a time ).
