We, the homeowners of Grant Road PUD in Cypress Texas, are concerned about the continuous and shocking increase in our water bills without any actual increase in the amount of water consumption. For many of us, the water bill has surpassed all other utility bills. We request that the said authority review the customer complaints, provide valid explanation for the following concerns and remedy the situation immediately without further burdening us with any additional expenses.
- Higher Consumption – Month by month comparison between years, we have been billed for substantially higher consumption of water without any increase in our actual consumption.
- If the meters are recording erroneous consumption, we ask the Grant Road PUD to test the meters and produce certificates of accuracy from NIST’s Weights and Measures Division. If they are defective, we ask the Grant Road PUD to replace them at its own expense.

im still reading through the messages you guys are leaving and the bank statements people are sending over are wild. im currently putting together a folder of these examples to drop off at the pud office later this week. they cant keep ignoring us when the patterns are this obvious.

im honestly speechless at how fast this is growing. seeing all of you speak up about these bills makes me realize we arent alone in this. things are finally starting to pick up real steam.

during Harvey we were billed substantially over what we normally are billed. Our house flooded and we have been gone since. I don't see how this is possible.
The addition fee is 2x the water fee. This cost is considerably more than they pay for water in California. It’s ridiculous!!
We have contacted Grant Rd multiple times and not received any information on our concerns or seen any adjustments to our monthly bill.
The bills are insane, just 2 at home and it has increased more than 200% in recent months. i have never paid more than $60-70 in the past, Now, it's over $200 with no significant change. The consumption is shown very high and the NHCRWA fee is atrocious. We need to be out of cypress?
I have been billed for almost double the normal water consumption in spite of setting the sprinkler timer for lower consumption, and without any leaks or increase in the actual consumption.

Yes, even when I do not water the yard for weeks, my bill is high. Please investigate. "Harvey" era is a perfect example, little water usage, yet a high bill.
