We have the same issues here in a Kenmount Terrace. Something needs to be done before it’s too late for the next child!

This shouldn't have to be a petition. It should be mandatory to have precautions in residential areas.

Absolutely disgusting that the city would wait for such a horrendous thing to occur in order to start listening. 50 is too high for a residential area. Fix what is broken.

Why this is necessary is ridiculous!!! Who ever heard of a 50km/h speed zone in a residential area! Come on St John’s get with it. Safety first!

I live no where near you but I believe all children should be safe and we as adults are suppose to be the responsible ones to make that possible!!
It's just common sense...

Give this neighbourhood lots of signs, speed bumps and reduce the speed. I hope there is plenty of lightening as well.

Please consider the lives of children and pedestrians by installing speed bumps on these roads. Cars go far too fast and lives are at stake.

Wishing a speedy recovery to your little guy. Speeds on all side streets in Southlands should be 30 kph zones and crosswalks plus speed bumps around playground areas. This is when we need St. John's council - Sandy Hickman and Wally Collins - to step up and do the right thing - and don't let up at City Hall until this is addressed. Been a growing problem in Southlands for more than 10 years and this little guy should never experience this traumatic event in the first place!
