Speed Bumps needed for sure ln Southlands ,Here on Palm Drive is unreal and kids are going to be kids .Please watch out for them.

Every child and adult needs to be safe. In a residential area everything and anything should be done so people who insist on speeding are made to slow down. Protect the children!!

All side streets should have a speed limit of 30km or even less as they have in school zones. Fines should be very high for those who are caught speeding when on these side streets - maybe then, those idiots who have the need for speed just might slow down

Shouldn't have to be a petition ...should be mandatory...look at the outcome. Why does it take someone getting hurt before anyone listens

Totally agree. Speed limit enforcement is completely lacking in our city. Electronic speed watch signs and speed bump are desperately needed in many areas.

I also had submitted a letter my town council. Below is what I wrote:
'I have a concern about the number of drivers speeding down the residential are of Lincoln Rd, GFW. Drivers are forgetting this is a residential area, with a large number of kids and seniors. I personally fear for my two kids, who are under the age of 6, who can't even cross the street with us without having them basically attached to me. Could you please pass the message alone to someone to look into both speed bumps and solar radar speed sign installations to help reduce the number of speeders in this area."
The reply from the council was that it isn't in the budget to consider my request.
Really, when should there be a budget limit on the safety of an individual.

More needs to be done to ensure drivers slow down on our roads, especially areas where there are children.

We are going through same thing in airport heights on MacBeth dr.8 of us bought signs and have them on our lawns.we managed to get a double line on the turn but people are having a hard time staying on right side of the line while doing 60 to 80 around the turn (not working)and they put no parking signs again not slowing people down !! We hear your concern and would like the speed limit lowered on all streets

Scandalous the city let this go so long for something like this to happen.
