A lower speed limit (40km/h?) combined with an electronic sign and police presence is needed to curb speeding there.

No child should be at risk due to speeding on a residential street. Unfortunately, this is happening in many communities across the province. ALL residential streets should be automatically 40 km/hour or less and problem areas should be monitored frequently or have cameras installed.

So sad that an adult in the position of power would take a very serious matter like this and tell a person to start a petition . I think the speed limit should be set to 30 and speed bumps installed . The speed bumps are the only thing I have seen that works . For the love of god Sandy Hickman smarten up and listen to the peoples concerns . This little boy is very lucky to be alive and you want a petition ?

Unacceptable that a neighborhood in the largest city in the province with a growing population that is adding to the coffers of the city exponentially is having to beg for services!!! Speeds and thefts are on the rise - please remember that we belong to your city too and are no longer forgotten!!

No one should have to sign a petition for this. It should have already been in place and a lower speed limit on a residential street. Ridiculous and outraged !

No parent should have to worry about such things.

Speeding in the entire Southlands area is an epidemic and we need it addressed immediately.

Why is it that we as residents have to wait until a senseless tragedy has happened before anything is done to prevent such a tragedy? It's ridiculous!

Drivers need to slow down in neighborhoods.

There really has to be something done before a child or person gets killed and that should go for every place from one end of the island to the other end!!! But I guess our opinions means nothing to some ppl and no matter how low you put the speed there is always that someone/s that just don't care ...
