This is a very busy street that motorist don’t slow down on. I live in the area. So sad that something like this has happened. Something needs to be don’t to rectify this immediately.

I lived in Southlands for 18 years. I watched it develop and the streets get busier and busier. It may not have needed speed reduction methods back then, but it certainly does now. I would not trust to let my child play around the yard like I did when I was younger, it has become much too dangerous and things need to be done before another child is harmed.

I am a mother with a child who goes out to enjoy the outdoors all the time. People are driving around way too fast, and need to slow down! Please, lets see some speed bumps placed in areas like this one!

Such a tragic event had occurred and it is sad that it has come to this in order for the city to take steps to prevent this. I sure hope these issues get resolved and this little boy makes a full recovery

I'm signing this as a mother of two who understands the urgency of lower speeds in residential and school areas. This needs to be addressed before something unimaginable happens to someones child.

This is needed in so many communities! How many children have to be injured before something is done!

We live on Cheeseman Drive and speed is also an issue. Traffic is too fast in the neighborhood where small children are playing. On Cheeseman Drive, it is often the traffic going to and from the golf course.

I believe our city has a few issues to address in neighbourhood all around. I don't believe that we should be the ones having to beg for power speed limits, more traffic enforcement, crosswalks, speed bumps and signs. This should be regulated and by-laws should be clear and executed as those Neighbour hoods are being constructed or have never been constructed properly in the first place. Roundabouts isn't the answer to every situation either (like the city seems to be thinking lately) where on smaller streets a few stop sign and road markings can work just as good as well as cost a lot less.

The City should have done something alone time ago, it shouldn't have taken a child to be injured in order for someone to take action.

I too live here and have seen first hand the stupidity of drivers. It's scary to think of lil children at the mercy of reckless people.
People drive crazy in residential area.
